| 🍃Roots & Horizons (French Cut) – Constantin Kogan🍃 Roots & Horizons – Constantin Kogan► Play OnlineRoots & Horizons (French Cut) Afro House rhythms with melodic depth — organic percussion, rolling basslines, and emotional synth work. Moving between ritual and journey, the set unfolds through grounded grooves, subtle vocals, and long, hypnotic transitions — sans précipitation.Designed for sunset into night: open air, rooftops, late-night flow states… and of course cosy private parties in −10°C New York, where the warmth comes from the rhythm and warmth of dancing humans. This set is special: it marks the first time I introduce my own remix into a live journey. A personal touch, woven naturally into the flow, inspired by the French underground EDM scene: restrained, emotional, and quietly confident. No excess. No shortcuts. Just movement, texture, and intention.Official Link |

January’s Crypto Sell-Off Was a Macro Repricing, Not a Crypto Failure Bitcoin fell ~10% and Ethereum ~17.5% in January, with most of the downside compressed into the final days of the month. This was not an idiosyncratic crypto event. Markets pulled back expectations for rapid Fed rate cuts, triggering a broad repricing across risk assets. Month-end fund rebalancing thinned liquidity, amplifying moves, while crowded derivatives positioning forced a leverage unwind — hitting ETH harder due to higher leverage and weaker spot demand. ETF flows added realism: access does not mean one-way buying. Crypto behaved exactly as a high-beta risk asset, with ETH magnifying BTC’s move. Falling Prices Put Corporate Crypto Treasuries Under Pressure Bitcoin’s drop to ~$75,500 pushed prices below Strategy’s average entry level, increasing scrutiny on corporate balance-sheet exposure. BitMine Immersion Technologies, the largest known ETH holder, is now sitting on roughly $6B in unrealized losses. Over 24 hours, combined BTC reserves held by companies and governments fell 10.2% to $137.9B, while ETH reserves declined 19.8% to $14.9B. According to Ki Young Ju, if large holders begin selling to cap losses amid stalled inflows, downside scenarios could accelerate sharply. This is balance-sheet stress, not retail panic. Why 2025 Never Delivered a True Altseason Data compiled from CryptoRank and summarized by Yahoo Finance shows that most 2025 token listings massively underperformed. On Binance, 93 of 100 tokens now trade below listing price, with a median ROI of 0.22x. Bybit and MEXC show similar outcomes, while even more selective venues like Coinbase and Kraken saw the majority of new listings end in the red. The conclusion is structural: supply exploded while capital inflows lagged. The result was dilution, not rotation. Going forward, outperformance will be increasingly concentrated — fewer winners, harsher competition, and no automatic “altseason” tailwind. |
